Cape Town : where the wondergigs got its name ... wondergigs Mother City

"In the Southern most extremes of Africa , there is a tribe, so peaceful and intelligent are they ; they simply sit and think." Quoting from GABRIEL GARCIER MARQUEZ '100 years of solitude':

After the plates shifted by a process of 'geosyncline', to form continents of the world, Africa was tipped with an enormous rock, sloping around the peninsular. It is a natural wonder of the world and it is the embodiment of major currents of earth's energy. The great withdrawal of the Indian and Pacific oceans fashioned the land around Table Mountain into an inhabitable city. The Bushmen are said to be one of the original human seeds. They have the earliest recorded memory of Table Mountain. They would access the mountain with boats from as far as what we now call Sir Lowry's pass. They buried their dead on Table Mountain.

As the seas began to subside the Bushmen moved to live on the slopes of the mountain, and how the earth provided for this loving and humane gathering. The Bushmen were hunters and gatherers, never warriors. However after an extended period of time they were joined by other races of human beings. There was a great migration of people South and the Cape became known as the Mother City.

The Bushmen were hunters and gatherers, never warriors. However after an extended period of time they were joined by other races of human beings. There was a great migration of people South and the Cape became known as the Mother City. Many explanations for this exist, however the Mother City is in a sense the waiting room or calling window to Mother Earth itself.

And thus with the mystical alignment of the universe, this community that settled around Table Mountain became the most cosmopolitan across all the seas. There is much history written in the rock. This mountain is in touch with the earth, the sea, the fire, the weather. Don't mess with it. The energy of this mountain runs very deep into an ancient history and time. This mountain is in touch with the earth, the sea, the fire, the wind and the ether. There are energy patters, with a great flat table between.

Cape Town is the Mother City. Mythology suggests that the embodied being goddess Ishtar is lying with her legs apart, one foot resting on lions head (the sphinx of Africa!)

Cape Town is our mother city, like Earth is our mother planet and MAMA is our human mother. There is a bursting through of the divine feminine in Cape Town that has cast out the old patriarchal energies that paraded themselves on a land that was previously at ONE. And Table Mountain is a focal point of all these energies. Table Mountain sits as a 'vortex point' on the Rainbow Earth Chakra MAP. This is known as Gate 12, Spinner Wheel. This chakra point is a portal or a stargate. Gate 12 on Planet Earth, spin a wheel at Gate 12 and where can you go? A stargate can be used for two purposes. Travel across galactic systems and travel instantly across the Earth. This can be metaphorical or mythological depending on your interpretation.

The Amercan jazz musician Sun Ra said in his movie 'Space is the place,' spoke of transmolecuralisation. He suggested that with his music he could help beam the people back to their home planet. Transmolecuralisation is what modern shamans call transmigration and is the seamless movement across or through time and space. Should we journey through such a stargate where might we choose to go? Some researchers have suggested we might go to our 'home star system', the Pleiades.

The Pleiades star system is a system of seven stars. Pleiades is venerated in indigenous cultures of the world, such as the Mayan, the Cherokee and the Bushmen.

"The dead become stars and when the new children are born these stars come down and become these children's souls. The souls can come from another planet of our solar system, or very distant celestial bodies and the souls of the most evolved children may come from even the most distant celestial bodies or stars. Ancient understood that we are connected into the mind of YO, that we are spiritual beings," goes an old Bushman prophecy sourced at the Tracey archive ILAM.

The prophecy of 2012 tells how planet earth passes, by orbit, through a location known as the 'galactic centre.' Here earth receives powerful energy transmitted through vibration. It will have the effect of showing us our true selves. As we choose to be aware of vibration and of change so the nature of our DNA is reconfigured and we, the human race burst through the veil like a child from its mother's womb, and we become our light bodies.

The Mother City is in a sense the waiting room or calling window to Mother Earth itself. And thus with the mystical alignment of the universe, this community that settled around Table Mountain became the most cosmopolitan across all the seas. The seeds of balance are planted in Mother Earth and her energy grids.

Credo Mutwa talks of the origin of the Bushmen people and the Nguni people to be Princess Marimba. It was as a sex slave to the frog people that she was said to have birthed the bushmen race before birthing the Nguni race with a chosen mate.

The Bushmen people are one and the same as the Khoi Khoi. some researchers such as Stowe maintain that they lived for an impossibly long period of time before being joined by the San. The Khoisan was a political term to describe the intermingling of the two people's. Much more intermingling occurred with these people and the many diverse people that came to these shores. When the Bushmen people roamed the land, they were at one with nature. They were nomadic. NOMAD comes from the Red Indian Lingo. It means No go Mad.

Goema Goema: Music of Cape Town

From spiritual beginnings, the generosity of the Cape has spawned a hugely cosmopolitan culture known as a creole culture. Goema is the reflexion of this creole culture. Goema is the name of the rhythm or spoken language imminating from this creole culture. The goema language itself is am amalgamation of Afrikaans, English and some Bantu words and they are all put in a rhythmical potjie kos of language that when spoken has the feel of music. The language is sometimes foolish, sometimes humurous, speaking in metaphors or taking some of the most simple situations and turning it into something to laugh about. Goema is anything and it is anywhere. For instance when the youth are dancing in a circle and someone is in the middle, they say, 'Steek uit jou bang ding,' (Stick out your scared thing) to the shy guy too inhibited to work his dance moves.

From this goema language came two streams one musical and one political. These two streams are polar opposites. The close association of the goema language with the street life of the carnival has become deeply political. At one stage it was cultural and entertaining, however after forced removals people were relocated to the Cape Flats where a brand new style of gangsterism emerged. Reverend JJ Matthews articulated this to me suggesting that during District Six days, gangsterism was abut self expression and power over ones-self however today it is about cowardice and power over others. Today gangsterism has become infused with the trade of heavy drugs and it has taken goema language along with it.

“Gangsterism has changed. They are cowards today. When we were young we used to fight with knives and use the lids of bins as shields. When we were young we used to burry the old. Now we are old and we burry the young."

The apartheid suppression of goema was successful. Through forced removals they created an entire creole class of gangsters and cowards subservient to their money, who speak their language and vote for them. When people ask how can you vote for your suppressor they say, 'Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't know!'

Look for instance at the effect of crack cocaine on the goema people. One hit they say is too much and a thousand hits not enough. It is highly addictive. After the first hit the mind already starts to thing in terms of money or grams. Wouter Basson (Doctor Death) invented Mandrax to suppress the mixed race people of Cape Town.

Some people have emerged victoriously from the dark and demonic cloud of this and other addictions. In Cape Town these drugs are ubiquitous. They are highly available and apparently all the policemen are on the line. They do not apprehend the merchants. They apprehend the users, confiscate their drugs, throw the users out on the streets and ask them if they can have their lighters. They then smoke up their stuff.

Goema was asked to incorporate this madness, thus attempting to turn it into something it is not. Goema is a musical form developed in the Cape. It was named after the 'goem' and the 'gaai'; the drum and the fire; the wind and the waves; the 'this' and 'that'; of the mountain and the people. Goema is like the individual as s/he travels from the family to the community, to the world and to the universe. It is music but moreover it is a dynamic style and philosophy of people. It is a universal expression.

Goema can not be both good and evil. It is a music and like all musics is the victory of good over evil. Only the musician remains capable of speaking the multi cultirak mannerism of goema. The carnival has become lost in its money hunger and the industry lost in its generalisations. Goema is underground in the hands of a few chosen musicians.

The goema music is a fun and flexible style not unlike the Samba of South America. Goema like any traditional rhythmical music pattern is open to shift and transformation. It can reflect any mood given and is therefore a universal experience.

"I find goema is a very accessible rhythm. I did workshops in Denmark and students there could learn some goema rhythms and perform them. It is a universal language. Same as jazz. It is language that you pick up and learn to speak. All music forms are related in some way no matter where they are as music has been taken to all corners of the earth," says Hilton Schilder

Natural Carnival of Cape Town

The very lands of the Cape are known as a natural carnival. There is a natural movement from the cool waters of the Atlantic to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Sardines do this annually. It is called the sardine run. Scientists say that they travel to the warm waters of KZN and Mozambique to breed. They mostly get munched up along the way so, I wonder, what is the reason for that? The bushmen people walked the same route along the coast. There is a natural movement which the annual carnival in Cape Town ties into. The Bushmen route travelled the entire coast to Mozambique.

Turn of the 18th century into the 19th and a carnival developed apparently in imitation of the 'parallel stream of socio-cultural oppression' the black faced minstrels of America felt. The Cape Town carnival which arose on January 1st during slavery days is not at all limited to being a reaction to slavery however. Carnival means resurrection of the flesh. It is a great jewel for the people of the world to partake in. The carnival music at its very best is termed goema and is a fun and footloose style not unlike the Samba of South America. Goema like any traditional rhythmical music pattern is open to shift and transformation. It can reflect any mood given and is therefore a universal experience. As Hilton Schilder likes to point out, “We all have traces of bushmen DNA within.”

The carnival is emotionally cleansing and spiritually healing.

Carnivale means celebration of the flesh. It is a great jewel for the people of the world to partake in. we see this in the annual Rio de Jeneiro carnival. The music of the carnival is the samba! What makes Rio carnival special is they have incorporated the principles of ‘building carnival.' Carnival is born of a human experience that is pure expression beyond any distinctions of class and culture.

In Cape Town, the carnival music is sometimes termed goema / ghoema / guma. Goema like any traditional rhythmical music pattern is open to shift and transformation – it can reflect any mood given – and it is therefore a universal experience: The basic rhythm of goema is TA TAKA TAKA TA

The carnival lies at the heart of freeing the people from the divide and rule that was put into place with the moving of the people from District six to the Cape Flats. The carnival lies at the heart of pulling the metaphorical ‘township' into dock and granting its inhabitants ideological freedom to live in communities.

Drum images of Carnival ... FEB1959 - This year the great annual festival of the Cape Coloureds went off with its usual gaiety and verve. Night and day for three days the troupes pranced and sang their way through the crowded streets. And at four sports stadiums in various parts of the town, the four 'boards' or organising bodies held their singing and dancing competitions and parades before big audiences.(Photograph by Drum photographer Baileys Archives) Coloured people, district Six, Coon Carnival, New Year, culture, Cape Town

The tale of Doves Beak

The only beings that were smoked off the peaks of the Table Mountain Peninsula (historically called Hoerikwaggo) were the indigenous people of Cape Town. When the indigenous people were asked the names of the Hoerikwaggo mountain peninsula, they said “DuiwePiek, Tafelberg, LeeusKop.” Doves Beak, Table Mountain, Lions Head.

However, between the English and the Dutch and their confrontation in the Cape and their ideals of conquest over one another and the local inhabitants, quite possibly at the time that Rhodes took that hill for his own, a very awful mark was placed on our shared history. Indeed, mar of the beast no less. They simply added the letter L to the indigenous Afrikaans name to what was once a beloved and peaceful peak, DuiwesPiek, became DuiwelsPiek.

A very bizarre mythological story was invented to justify the new wording for this mountain, and the hiding from history of the true origins of its foul name. The story of Van Den Hoek smoking a non-existent being off the peak was created and is shared ad nausea today. It is a myth. There is a long movement to return the name of the beloved Cape Mountains to their rightful names and thus to discontinue the awful association with murder and conquest.

In 2012 there was a movement reported on in local media to rename the mountain to Doves Peak. The Cape Times showing its political leanings (capitalism and conquest) misreported on this movement accusing a Christian minority group of campaigning for this name change.

Doves Beak is indigenous. The rightful name is Doves Beak and the returning of this name must be supported by all compassionate souls, regardless of religion and or social learnings. Specifically for the indigenous people of Cape Town. It is for their future that the unprejudiced, unjaundiced and unbiased word power association with the permanent mountains in the city will be set right. For, it is true that that peak looks like a Doves Beak and nothing more needs to be said about it. Put the name back, before the mark of the beast is everywhere …

That of course was the colonial strategy – divide and rule. Divide within themselves. The consciousness of the people was divided through propagated myth. This awful myth of the misrepresented Van den Hoek served the colonial purpose of dividing the mountain range, creating imaginary positive nodes at the Lion and negative at the renamed Dove and thus turning the natural energy lines (From Cape To Cairo) on their head.

“Doves Beak,” re-unites the Mountain range and will call visitors back to it.

Hoerikwaggo: ancient mountain

The seeds of balance are planted in Mother Earth and her energy grids. A vital location is the Table Mountain peninsula of the Cape.

Table Mountain was a sacred site to the Bushmen people. At times of their inhabitation, the whole of the Cape was underwater. They rowed their boats to the top of the table (roughly 1000m high) from Sir Lowry's post. The table of Table Mountain was a burial site. They called it hoerikwaggo. This is translated to mean ‘Sea Mountain'. Imagine the site - with only the peaks of the mountains sticking out from a great bay of water, like some kind of partially submerged creature of both sea and land.

Nowadays of course, the sea has subsided extensively and even great portions of land have been reclaimed from the ocean. Woodstock was once a beach. Now it is on the periphery of the city and in the fringe between urban and suburban where the sheer mess of transportation junctures makes it virtually uninhabitable.

In 2011 when walking on that mountain with JASON (Son of Jah), we met an ancient man dressed only in his hessian sack suit. He stood high on a rock with his shaft and called to us. “I have a message for you,” he said, “Eat raw food.”

Hoerikwaggo sea mountain it is you who truly knows where the balance between good and evil actually lies. It is you who brings the love to life so good may overcome evil and we may remember how we choose to live as ‘one'.

Mythology suggests that Ishtar is lying with her feet resting on a lion. Is this the all conquering lion? Cape Town is the mother city Stephen says, because of the way the mountain slopes, the angle toward the oceans and bays is like a great mother with her legs wide open. This suggests Table Mountain is the tummy of the mother and she is birthing the humanity that have settled on her slope?

Credo Mutwa calls Table Mountain, Ishtar . The Foundation Nation Report says:

The great goddess Ishtar residing with her vulva on display. Is her vuvla, a doorway?

When the VENUS TRANSIT occurred in June 2012 : Earth, Venus and the Sun were aligned on the same plane.

The solar plexus chakra, below the ribs and diaphragm is the Venus centre in the body. Southern Africa is the solar plexus chakra of the earth and the earth the solar plexus of the universe. Venus within Venus within Venus!

The seeds of balance are planted in Mother Earth and her energy grids. A vital location is the Table Mountain peninsula of the Cape.

Defeating 'bad spirits' in Cape Town

In this photo you see a view of Lions Head as taken from the taxi rank at the foot of Table Mountain. I had stopped at this point to request official identification of a “stranger” that had become attached to me. As I walked up Kloofnek Rd this ‘stranger' appeared to be following me even though he walked 22 feet ahead of me. I had paused twice already to assess the pace the stranger was walking. On the third stop, I asked the taxi drivers assembled in this parking lot if they were aware of who this man was and what his intention was. They confirmed him as a stranger. They asked me to wait a moment so we could figure out his intentions. As I took this photograph, the taxi driver took a photograph of the stranger. The stranger then went and sat on a rock and looked out into the bay. The taxi driver said I could walk on now.

This is what Bob Marley calls “duppy conquering.” Through awareness, compassion and collaboration we removed a duppy from a “stranger.” Duppies in rastafari teachings are archons in gnostic teachings, 'elemental beings' in the light of truth and tokoloshe in African spirituality. And there are many other names.

Never fear, the beloved fact that 'WE ARE NOT ALONE' came as the great healing hand to the human race. Through prayer, meditation and contact with either our higher selves, shamanic human beings, multi dimensional spiritual family and or extra terrestrial intelligence we can bring about healing from duppy's, negatively orientated astral beings, negatively orientated earth bound sprits and the Fallen Angelic service to self beings. The human maxim remains true: "Those that stand in the light are more powerful than anything in the dark."

Table Mountain, the great goddess Ishtar has a ‘vortex point.' This is known as Gate 12, Spinner Wheel, on the Rainbow Earth Chakra MAP. Table Mountain exists at a major energetic convergence point on the Earth Grid.

This chakra point is a portal or a stargate. Gate 12 on Planet Earth, spin a wheel at Gate 12 and where can you go?

A stargate can be used for two purposes. Travel across galactic systems and travel instantly across the Earth.

According to Ashayana Deane, utilising a stargate requires Ascension Mechanics.

The use of a stargate links us to our ‘home star system', the Pleiades.

Ancient understood that we are connected into the mind of YO, that we are spiritual beings."

The prophecy of 2012 tells how planet earth passes, by orbit, through a location known as ‘galactic plane.' Here earth receives powerful energy transmitted through vibration. It will have the effect of showing us our true selves.

As we choose to be aware of VIBRATION and of CHANGE so the nature of our DNA is reconfigured and we, the human race burst through the veil like a child from its mother's womb, and we become our light bodies.

I believe Table Mountain is our pathway home. I believe our duty, like Osiris is in becoming whole. As one collects all the fragmented aspects of one's identity, the hidden keys and the mystery elements of our awakening to full consciousness, 100% brain, DNA capacity, optimal knowing and overstanding is experienced. We literally discover our missing member and re-assemble in what may be called RE-MEMBERING.

Cape Town is our mother city, like Earth is our mother planet and MA is our human mother. MA is our planet. MA is our universe. It is the place of mothers within mothers within mothers. There is a bursting through of the divine feminine in Cape Town that has cast out the old patriarchal energies that paraded themselves on a land that was previously at ONE.

When the Bushmen people roamed the land, they were at one with nature. They were nomadic. NOMAD comes from the Red Indian Lingo to Not go Mad.

Table Mountain stands as a living witness standing as a balance between permanence and impermanence and humanity and the other dimensions.

Climbing the Table Mountain, the great mountain God, Ishtar we witness extraordinary sites: perfect slabs of rocks and huge heads of human and other forms. Could these be ancient carvings?

Mr Mutwa on ‘Wisdom keepers' has spoken of ancient carvings that cover the entire escarpment of the Cape.

The 12 apostles are ancient carvings. These 12 mountain slopes resemble ‘faces' and are on the side of the mountain overlooking Camps Bay.

The relationship between ‘spirits' and rock is preserved in the ancient wisdom of the Bushmen people. This knowledge is preserved in their artworks on cave walls.

Graham Hancock at the Megalithomania conference 2011 said:

This is an art of visions. It is an art of altered states of consciousness. Specifically it is an art of Shamanism. Shamans entered trance states, experienced visions which when they then returned to a normal state of consciousness, they depicted on the cave walls… The more of these sites I visited, the more an eerie impression began to adorn on me that the cave wall was a headway separating the art from the other realm.”

From the Foundation Nation Report: The handprint seen all over the world – including South African cave art – was a universal symbol of having made contact through the “veil of rock” to the spirits and the otherworld. They quite literally touched hands.”
