Pan African Independent Network for Music Entrepreneurs

For far too long independent music entrepreneurs in Africa have played second fiddle to the one-eyed giants of multi-nationals and music collection societies. But now the PAIN is coming. Launched today on Africa Day 25th May 2020, The Pan-African Independent Network (PAIN) is an association of music entrepreneurs, that will offer their members support, insights and advice on best practice to help you grow your music ventures.
Whilst independent labels throughout the world enjoy a 39% market share; in South Africa the independent music community now owns less than 10% of the total market.
In order for us to take back our share of the market, the local community will have to become aware of the opportunities available to music entrepreneurs and how to ensure that you are collecting your fair share of rightsholders royalties.
We are offering collections services, licencing, rights and legal advice from an office of music industry professionals.
Clive Hardwick a founding board member of Merlin and co-founder of Bula Records, Struan Douglas founder of afribeat.com and music rights journalist and creative entrepreneur Rodney Mashamba are working with an array of industry experts from around the world to make this happen.
Join us now; let’s grow together : https://pain.africa/
